About the Role:
Are you skilled with hand tools and woodworking, or do you hold a degree in a design-related field such as DT, Engineering, or Art? We are looking for a passionate and dedicated DT Technician to join a secondary school in Hammersmith and Fulham. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience supporting the DT and Art departments in a vibrant school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in practical lessons (KS3 and KS4) to enhance students' experience in Design and Technology
- Provide guidance and support to teaching staff
- Work across all areas within the Art, Design, and Technology faculty
- Promote and ensure health and safety within the department
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Hold a relevant qualification (e.g., Engineering, DT, or Art) or have practical experience with hand tools and woodworking
- Be passionate about the potential of every pupil
- Be reliable and possess strong communication skills
- Previous experience working with children is beneficial but not essential
