Are you an experienced EHC Coordinator looking for a new interim opportunity? A West London council is seeking a dedicated professional to coordinate Education, Health, and Care (EHC) Plans in line with the Children & Families Act 2014.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the main point of contact for children, young people with SEND, and their families regarding their EHC Plans.
- Ensure compliance with statutory regulations in the preparation and review of EHC Plans.
- Coordinate multi-agency meetings and work closely with education, health, and social care professionals.
- Manage a caseload of children and young people with EHCPs, ensuring high-quality casework within statutory timelines.
- Oversee the assessment and review processes while implementing continuous improvements
- Provide expert advice to families, schools, and professionals on SEND-related matters.
- Ensure financial processes and funding allocations are managed accurately.
- Contribute to the successful transition of children and young people with complex needs between settings.
Key Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of SEND legislation, policies, and best practices.
- Experience working with children, young people, and families in an education, health, or social care setting.
- Ability to lead complex multi-agency meetings and engage with stakeholders effectively.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise workloads effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Synergy or Mosaic is a plus (training provided).
- Degree-level education or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
- An up-to-date DBS check is required.
