Electrical ImproverHours: Monday to Friday 08.30-17.30Location: BloomsburyThe RoleAs an Electrical Improver, you will be part of the Residential team providing electrical reactive services to the student accommodation buildings which will include all areas of Student accommodation.The Electrical Improver will be carrying out hands on reactive calls of primary electrical equipment within common parts of Student residential buildings. Conducting fault detection and repairing various electrical circuits. Diagnosing and rectifying electrical faults responsibly, while ensuring compliance with all statutory requirements. Performing efficient servicing, fault diagnosis, and repair work on electrical systems according to current standards. Submitting clear, concise, and accurate reports detailing the work undertaken. Participate in building shutdowns, ensuring minimal disruption to operations. Provide technical support for electrical systems and assist in trouble shooting issues. Document all maintenance and repair activities, keeping accurate records. Day to Day Responsibilities
  • Electrical reactive duties within student accommodation
  • Survey jobs and notify your team leader of materials required.
  • Must be calm under pressure and always willing to help. Be consistent in terms of attitude, attendance, timekeeping, and workmanship.
  • Assist in monitoring practices to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.
  • Keeping a PDA up to date
Essential Qualifications and Experience
  • C&G Level 2 Electrical Installation
  • 18th Edition
  • 3 years Electrical experience
  • The ability to work under pressure
  • To be Self-motivated, responsible, able to work well as part of a team and on own initiative
  • High standard of Health & Safety awareness
  • Experience of building services maintenance essential
  • Good communication skills, customer focused with a proactive, flexible, can-do approach
  • Able to obtain DBS clearance
