SANZA Teaching Agency is seeking a dedicated English Lead to join a specialist Home Tuition Team within an established SEND Service in East London. This is a unique opportunity to shape English provision, support vulnerable learners, and make a real impact on their education and future.

About the Role:

This maternity cover position is confirmed for the Summer term, with a strong possibility of extension. As English Lead, you will:

  • Deliver tailored, high-quality English lessons to students receiving home tuition or alternative provision.
  • Lead curriculum planning and development to ensure engaging and effective teaching.
  • Support and train tutors within the Home Tuition Team to enhance English provision.
  • Monitor progress, assess needs, and adapt teaching strategies for students with diverse learning requirements.
  • Work closely with schools, families, and external professionals to support student reintegration.
  • Attend review meetings and contribute to statutory and non-statutory reports.
  • Occasional evening work may be required, with potential opportunities to work outside the borough.

What We're Looking For:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a strong English teaching background.
  • Experience supporting students with SEND, medical, and mental health needs.
  • A track record of leadership in curriculum planning and quality assurance.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and leadership skills.
