About the Role

My client a leading consultancy, is looking to add to their Workday Financials & HCM Practice. They are seeking an experienced and strategic Transformation Director to lead transformational programmes for thier expanding portfolio of Retail and Technology clients. This role will drive end-to-end implementations of Workday solutions, focusing on finance, human capital management, and broader back-office transformation. Reporting directly to the Practice Partner, this role will guide programme teams, maintain client relationships, and ensure that there delivery approach meets standards of quality, innovation, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Programme Leadership: Lead Workday-enabled finance and HR transformation programmes from initiation through to completion, ensuring seamless delivery and alignment with client objectives.
  • Client Engagement: Develop strong client relationships and provide high-touch, strategic guidance, translating complex business needs into effective Workday solutions for Retail and Technology clients.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate across finance/HR operating models, change management, and procurement teams to deliver integrated transformation services.
  • Strategic Planning: Create and manage detailed programme roadmaps, aligning Workday implementation timelines with broader client transformation objectives and operational goals.
  • Change Management: Support clients in navigating organizational change, building buy-in for new Workday processes and workflows, and ensuring alignment with their long-term strategies.
  • Performance Management: Establish and oversee metrics for tracking programme performance, identifying risks early, and implementing corrective actions to maintain quality and efficiency.
  • Innovation & Efficiency: Drive the development of scalable solutions, leveraging Workday's capabilities to streamline finance and HCM operations while fostering innovation.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Experience: Proven track record in leading large-scale Workday Financials and/or HCM implementation programmes, preferably in consulting or professional services environments.
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of the Retail and Technology sectors, with an appreciation of their specific financial and human capital challenges.
  • Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of Workday Financials, Workday HCM, and Adaptive Insights; understanding of best practices in financial and human capital management.
  • Leadership & Communication: Exceptional leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to influence C-suite stakeholders and build strong client relationships.
  • Project Management: Strong project management capabilities, with expertise in creating strategic roadmaps, managing budgets, tracking performance, and ensuring delivery excellence.
  • Change Management & Transformation: Skilled in change management and familiar with techniques to foster adoption and streamline transformation initiatives within large organizations.
  • Education & Certifications: Bachelor's degree in Finance, HR, Business, or a related field; PMP, Prince2, or similar project management certification is a plus.
