We are looking for a Estimator to join our team. This role is crucial in ensuring project financial success by managing cost planning, project costing, and tender documentation preparation while upholding our high standards of quality and service.

About the Role

You will be responsible for accurate cost estimation, budget management, and procurement, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget. You will play a key role in maintaining strong relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and project stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates and bills of quantities for FF&E projects.

  • Develop and maintain project budgets throughout all work stages.

  • Prepare and submit monthly valuations for all projects.

  • Liaise with company Directors on finances and invoicing.

  • Prepare tender documentation and analyse tender returns.

  • Conduct value engineering exercises to optimize project costs.

  • Monitor and report on project costs and variations.

  • Assist in contract administration and commercial management.

  • Prepare monthly cost reports and financial forecasts.

  • Negotiate competitive prices with suppliers and contractors.

  • Support bid preparation and tender submissions.

  • Analyse and report on project profitability.

Key Skills & Experience

  • Strong understanding of construction contracts and procurement routes.

  • Proficient in cost planning and estimation software.

  • Expert knowledge of Excel and cost management tools.

  • Strong analytical and mathematical abilities.

  • Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills.

  • Strong commercial awareness.

  • Good understanding of construction methods and materials.
