We are looking for a passionate and innovative Features Editor to join the well-established and internationally recognized DisruptionBanking editorial team.

Responsible for the overall management of the talented features team of this online newswire, your duties will include:

• Commissioning freelancers, editing and re-writing copy where necessary.

• Regular liaising with the Editor.

• To produce a constant stream of brilliant, original ideas across all areas of the newswire, and understanding how to work with press releases and PR agencies.

• To be across all news, culture and talking points relevant to the DisruptionBanking readership; come up with ideas accordingly and secure exclusive interviews where possible.

• Managing the copy workflow, keeping subs and art informed and liaising with other departments where necessary.

• Reading proofs, contributing to page furniture and picture/layout treatments where relevant.

• Forward-planning special issues, think outside the box and come up with inventive new ideas for specials that will appeal

• To bring in new freelancers, ideas to grow the database

• To ensure that all of the team is strong on SEO, SEMRush and Google Analytics

• To nurture relationships with event companies, attend events as and when necessary

Requirements:

• Experience as a journalist

• Exemplary writer and PR contacts.

• Ability to work full time and be 2 days a week in the office (Canary Wharf).
