We are on the lookout for a Gardener to join our team in the Southwark area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and enhance parks, playgrounds, and green spaces to meet high standards.
- Care for grass verges along roads and green spaces on housing estates.
- Use basic horticultural machinery and equipment in routine maintenance tasks.
- Ensure Health & Safety guidelines are strictly followed in all activities.
- Provide friendly, helpful assistance to residents and park visitors as needed.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Essential: Previous experience in grounds maintenance.
- Desirable: Basic plant knowledge.
- Desirable: Familiarity with horticultural machinery and equipment.
- Essential: Strong understanding of Health & Safety practices.
- Essential: Valid driving license for up to 3.5 tonnes (transit tipper); prior experience driving within a London Borough is preferred.
- Essential: Clear communication skills and the ability to understand and follow instructions.
- Essential: Physical stamina for outdoor work across all weather conditions.
- Essential: Demonstrated experience in customer care and public interaction.
- Essential: Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
