Background:

Located in Londons Mayfair andoverlooking Green Park, the Royal Air Force Club offers first class facilitiesand a home from home' to its 24,000 members, predominantly serving and former officers of the RAF and Allied Air Forces and their families. Having opened its doors in 1922 the Club is full of history and character. With 110 bedrooms and 10 meeting and banqueting rooms, the Club is a truly hidden gem with modern and elegant interior and facilities.

Job Responsibilities:

We are looking for a diligent and organised Goods Receiver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the accurate receiving, inspecting, and recording of all incoming goods and materials. This role is crucial in ensuring that the inventory is maintained accurately and that any discrepancies are promptly reported and resolved. The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role, with strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1.Receiving Goods: Accept and unload deliveries, ensuring that all items are received in good condition and match the specifications on the purchase orders.

2.Inspection: Inspect incoming goods for quality, quantity, and any visible damage, and report any discrepancies or issues to the relevant department.

3.Documentation: Accurately document and record all received goods, including entering details into the inventory management system and maintaining proper records for auditing purposes.

4.Stock Management: Ensure that received goods are stored safely and correctly in the club, following the company's storage guidelines and maintaining an organised inventory.

5.Communication: Liaise with suppliers and internal teams to resolve any issues related to deliveries, including damaged, incorrect, or incomplete shipments.

6.Health & Safety Compliance: Adhere to all health and safety regulations during the receiving process, including the proper use of equipment and safe handling of goods. Adhere to all HACCP standards at all times,

7.Inventory Audits: Participate in regular stock checks and audits to ensure inventory accuracy and report any discrepancies.

8.Team Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to ensure a smooth flow of goods within the supply chain.

Other Tasks/Duties:

1.Review and validate invoices against goods received and services rendered, ensuring accuracy before processing.

2.Collaborate with the finance department to reconcile any discrepancies between accounting records and physical inventory.

Essential Key Skills:

Microsoft Office

Familiarity with inventory management software and the ability to accurately input data into the system
