We have an exciting opportunity for an organised and detail orientated Goods Receiver to join our growing team at Sunset Hospitality Groups first UK opening.

The Role

As Goods Receiver you will be responsible for the receipt, inspection, and proper management of all incoming goods. You will support the Head Goods Receiver in ensuring that all goods meet required quality standards, inventory protocols are followed, and operations comply with health & safety regulations. You will be responsible for maintaining high standards of stock control and effectively liaising with procurement, operational teams, and delivery drivers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive and Inspect Goods: Assist with the accurate and timely receipt of goods, ensuring that products match purchase orders and meet quality standards
  • Invoice Management: Support in verifying invoices against received goods and report any discrepancies to the Head Goods Receiver
  • Stock Control: Ensure proper stock rotation (FIFO) and maintain updated inventory levels in our systems
  • Operational Support: Work closely with Chefs and Managers to meet their needs for incoming goods and ensure smooth communication across departments
  • Loading Bay Maintenance: Maintain cleanliness and order in the goods receiving and storage areas, ensuring compliance with health & safety standards
  • Delivery Coordination: Collaborate with delivery drivers to resolve any issues with product quality or delivery times

About You

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Experience with inventory management and stock control
  • Confidence in handling invoices and delivery coordination
  • Proactive, detail-oriented attitude and the ability to remain organised under pressure
