Rainbo is searching for a dynamic, enthusiastic, and experienced Head of Events & Festivals to join our team and bring our Japanese soul food to new heights!
This senior role involves leading the events team, and we're seeking a candidate with extensive hands-on experience in the hospitality industry. This position could be a great fit for someone with a background as an Events Manager, Chef or Cook, Bar or Pub Staff, or other roles within the hospitality sector.

We started as a humble food truck and have grown into a vibrant brand with multiple permanent sites across London as well as a dedicated festivals, events and catering arm of the business. Your Mission:
- Recruitment, Staffing & Training: Scout and train the best festival warriors to join our team, ensuring they embody the spirit of Rainbo.
- Operations & Logistics: Mastermind the operations, logistics, and execution of all our festivals, events, and markets, ensuring a smooth and professional execution.
- Client Interaction: Respond to all event enquiries within 48 hours, working with customers to create their ideal menu, providing quotations, and following up with potential clients to seal the deal.
- Festival Applications: Keep our calendar packed by applying to the UK's top festivals.
- Business Development: Always be on the lookout for new business opportunities, festivals, events, markets, and catering gigs.
- Compliance & Hygiene: Ensure all our operations maintain a 5-star Hygiene Rating at all times.
- Event Excellence: Ensure every festival, event, and market we attend is executed with the precision of a samurai, delivering professional and efficient service every time.
- Financial Reporting: Get stuck into the spreadsheets and report on the P&L for every event, festival, and market within 3 working days.
- Order Management: Oversee all non-warehouse related orders for festivals and ensure we're stocked up and ready to rock.
- Storage & Mobile Units: Manage, organize, and upkeep our storage areas and mobile units, ensuring everything is in top shape.
- Company Support: Be ready to support the company and stores as needed.
Expected Results:
Events & Markets:
- Achieve sales and new business targets.
- Respond to all event enquiries within 48 hours and provide quotations within the same timeframe.
- Secure regular market pitches at premium London locations.
- Ensure all events and markets are staffed at least 2 weeks prior and maintain a 5-star Hygiene Rating.
- Guarantee all orders are made and deliveries received prior to events.
- Train all events/markets staff to team member, leader, and manager levels, with at least 2 team members trained up to a senior standard who can run events independently.
- Execute all events professionally, smoothly, and efficiently.
- Establish a reliable and well-trained core London-based events team.
- Achieve quarterly income & profit targets.
Festivals:
- Hit festival sales targets and the number of festival targets.
- Complete all festival applications prior to deadlines using standardized documents, photos, and menus.
- Staff all festivals at least 1 month before the event and train staff to team member, leader, and manager levels.
- Submit compliance documents for all events/festivals as requested.
- Order all onsite festival deliveries at least 3 days prior and efficiently receive them onsite.
- Maintain a 5-star Hygiene Rating at all festivals.
- Execute all festivals professionally, smoothly, and efficiently.
- Submit accurate P&L reports within 3 working days post-festival.
- Achieve annual income & profit targets.
