Rewarding work environment promoting personal and professional growthWhat you'll do:As the Head of International Power Generation at Aspen, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the Power Generation portfolio. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve performing complex underwriting activities while adhering to all legal and regulatory requirements. You will act as a technical expert within the team, identifying key issues and opportunities within Power Generation. Your strong interpersonal skills will be crucial in establishing relationships with various stakeholders. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to manage, support and develop colleagues within NRC.

  • Contribute to the development and delivery of the business plan for the Power Generation portfolio
  • Perform complex underwriting activities in accordance with all legal and regulatory requirements
  • Establish, develop and strengthen relationships with stakeholders including customers, brokers, business partners and colleagues
  • Act as a technical expert to support the identification of issues and opportunities within Power Generation
  • Underwrite complex insurance risks in accordance with the business plan and delegated underwriting authority
  • Manage, support and/or develop colleagues within NRC to ensure required performance standards are met

What you bring:The ideal candidate for this Head of International Power Generation role brings extensive experience from an underwriting environment within the Power Generation sector. You hold specific professional qualifications such as CPCU and have significant post-qualification work experience within this class of business. Your expertise includes using risk profiling and pricing tools as well as loss models. You have strong established relationships with customers/brokers and have previously managed underwriting teams. Your strong analytical skills enable you to use data effectively for decision-making.

  • In-depth experience in an underwriting environment within Power Generation underwriting area
  • Specific professional qualifications (CPCU)
