Head of Operations | FMCG Challenger Brand | London (Hybrid)

The Client:

Harmonic is super excited to be working with one of London's most innovative FMCG challenger brands who are looking for their first Head of Operations. This company have established themselves as an omnichannel brand distributing throughout the UK and Ireland spreading fun, healthy & sustainable treats.

This brand has a strong mission to create all-natural recipe, plastic-free packaging and tasty snacks showcasing playfulness and sustainability as its focus. Setting them apart from their competitors, this brand is not an ordinary pet treat company as the focus is on pet first products with a fun twist.

Scaling rapidly, this business has seen recent turnover of £7m with plans to scale and expand into new markets. Securing national listings with Tesco, Sainsbury's and Ocado has given the company national exposure and the company has quickly become a favourite for both consumers and retailers alike.

This role is tailored for candidates who enjoy working with autonomy and who are passionate about the dynamic nature of working in an SME, characterised by rapid evolution and growth. We are seeking a proactive and strategic Head of Operations looking to make an immediate impact.

The Duties:

* Effectively manage end-to-end supply chain to ensure the company is effectively managing demand and supply, forecasting, production planning, stock managements and procurements.

* Oversee the company's operations function to ensure all systems, processes and controls are fit for purpose and assist with projected growth.

* Work directly with the founder to develop both short-term and long-term operational strategies.

* Manage the different 3PLs and outsourced facilities to ensure that relationship management is strong and constantly looking to be efficient with deals and best practice to ensure the companies goals are met.

* Take responsibility for the growth of the operations team to ensure that you foster a culture of growth and excellent team management.

* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes, improve resource allocation and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

* Communicate with suppliers, carriers, and customers to track shipments and resolve any issues.

* Work closely on relationships with suppliers and retailers to ensure strong long-term partnerships.

* Represent the organisation externally, participating in investor relations activities, industry events, and strategic partnerships to enhance the organisations visibility and reputation.

What our client would like to see (Essential Experience):

* 5+ years within an operations position within a FMCG company.

* Experience working with a challenger fast-growth company who has gone through a scaling period.

* Worked with major grocery and big 4 supermarkets (Sainsbury's, Tesco, Asda & Morrisons)

* Experience in leading teams within a high-growth environment.

* Enjoys being hands on.

* Strong relationship management skills.

What our client would like to see (Non-Essential Experience):

* Worked with a snack brand.
