Infrastructure & Application migration consultant, migration, hybrid

This assignment has been deemed OUTSIDE of IR35.Hybrid working - circa twice per week onsite

Our client, a leading finance company, is currently undertaking a large-scale migration programme including application migration. Including several legacy systems and applications running on out of support Microsoft operating systems.

The successful candidate will work with the project team to design and implement a migration plan focussing on potential vulnerabilities. This is then highlighted at PEN test and cyber security audits.

You will also consult on how to fix these applications and ensuring no operational risks when they are updated and slows down deployment of updates.

We are looking for an individual to work with end users and application experts to understand the business requirements of the application. Then come up with a plan to either...

Upgrade the host O/s and ensure the applications worksOROffer a replacement application that is fully supportedOR Isolate the applications in such a way that the security vulnerabilities that the legacy o/s and these legacy applications pose, is removed and that updates on the current network does not affect the legacy area.

Finally, you will then implement, test and document the solution for all the required legacy applications.
