Interim Billings Specialist - 6 months initially

London based - near Waterloo and Southwark Tube Stations

£19 - £24ph + holiday pay (depending on experience) - PAYE

3 days in the office, 2 days home based

Our client is a leader in its field, and they are a private equity backed, SaaS business that operate within the media and events industry and they seek an experienced Billings Specialist, initially for a 6-month contract. This role is pivotal for their finance team, in ensuring that the revenue streams are on track and that overdue debt is collected and reported and tracked accordingly.

Key Responsibilities as the successful Interim Billings Specialist - 6 months initially:

  • Taking personal ownership for both credit control and billings, and reporting to the Revenue Accountant and the Finance Director
  • Day to day credit responsibilities, producing weekly debtor reports and reconciling movements
  • Negotiating payment plans where needed, and dealing with all billing issues etc
  • Sending invoices out to clients and chasing unpaid invoices
  • Liaising with customers and building strong relationships
  • Maintaining the UK sales ledger and ensure all bookings are posted on time and accurately
  • Forecasting customer receipts for cash-flow
  • Contributing towards improving existing systems and processes to improve both credit control and AR processes
  • Assisting with all reconciliations
  • Preparing the sales ledger information for forth-coming audits and assisting with the Year-End processes
  • Ownership of customer invoicing process for the UK entity
  • Daily work on proforma invoices and customer deposits
  • Helping with ensuring that upstream processes have been completed to ensure a streamlined invoicing process
  • Allocating payments from customers in an accurate and timely manner
  • Working with shared in-box for customer billing enquiries

Requirements

  • Ideally to be available to start this role by end of September 2024
  • Meticulous attention to detail and an inquiring mind
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to confidently liaise with various departments and stakeholders.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to provide industry-leading customer service to internal and external customers
  • Understanding of international banking (e.g. intermediary bank fees, foreign currency)
  • NetSuite and SalesForce experience advantageous
  • Intermediate Excel - Pivot Tables, V Look ups,etc
  • Previous UK experience and you must currently be a UK resident
