I am working with a London based international law firm as they search for an experienced legal biller to join their billing team. The role sits in a billing team of 8 and works closely with the Billing manager in dealing with a high volume of invoices.

Duties of the role:

  • Overseeing the shared invoices inbox.
  • Addressing client inquiries promptly.
  • Handling questions from fee earners and partners professionally and swiftly, escalating to the manager when necessary.
  • Adhering to fee earner billing guidelines.
  • Implementing special billing instructions as needed.
  • Generating monthly invoices from WIP, including monthly fees, litigation, event, and national validation billing.
  • Processing WIP write-offs and job transfers.
  • Issuing e-bills for client billing platforms.
  • Resolving e-billing issues.
  • Producing billing reports and conducting analysis.
  • Keeping billing procedures current.
  • Managing consolidated client accounts.
  • Providing support and coverage for other billing team members as needed.
  • Performing other administrative or general tasks within the finance department as required.

Experience needed for the role:

  • Familiarity with Aderant Billing and Entity Manager modules is advantageous.
  • A proactive work attitude.
  • Works well within a team.
  • Exhibits flexibility during peak times.
  • Pays attention to detail and follows a methodical approach.
  • Capable of handling multiple tasks simultaneously.
