Key Responsibilities:

  • Support Child Development: Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that encourage children’s physical, social, emotional, and cognitive growth in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.

  • Create a Safe and Nurturing Environment: Ensure a safe, welcoming, and inclusive space where children feel secure, valued, and ready to learn and explore.

  • Observe and Record Progress: Regularly observe, assess, and document each child’s development to tailor activities that meet their individual needs and support their unique learning journey.

  • Build Positive Relationships: Establish trusting relationships with children, parents, and guardians, providing regular updates and working collaboratively to support each child's well-being.

  • Promote Health and Safety: Maintain health, safety, and hygiene standards, including following safeguarding policies to ensure the well-being of all children in the setting.
