What You’ll Be Doing:As a Haematology/Transfusion Biomedical Scientist, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality diagnostic services in a busy laboratory setting. Your main responsibilities will include:
- Conducting a range of haematology and transfusion laboratory tests
- Preparing and analysing blood samples for diagnostic purposes
- Performing blood group testing, crossmatching, and other transfusion-related tests
- Ensuring high standards in lab procedures and compliance with regulations
- Supporting quality control initiatives
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient care
Requirements & Qualifications:To succeed in this role, you will need:
- HCPC Registration as a Biomedical Scientist
- IBMS Accredited Degree
- 1-2 years of experience in a Haematology laboratory, with Transfusion experience preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A strong commitment to high-quality laboratory services
- Full right to work in the UK (we are unable to provide sponsorship)
Working Hours & Contract Duration:The role operates Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week, with core hours from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM. The contract will last for an initial 3 months, with the possibility of extension based on performance and service needs.
