A central London school’s Music Department is seeking four weeks temporary cover for a Music Coordinator role. This is an opportunity to help organise events in some of London’s most iconic venues.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Serving as a first point of contact for the Music Department’s key building, handling enquiries from visitors, staff, and pupils. • Ensuring the smooth running of the Music Department; supporting with administration for teachers and their timetabling, lost property, music locker allocation, departmental inventory of keys/lockers, maintenance requests, and general tidiness. • Coordinating practice rooms, to ensure equipment is stored correctly and required equipment is present. • Managing and updating physical and online departmental resources. • Ensuring sheet music, stationary, and consumables are ordered and distributed. • Handling room bookings and allocations administration regularly. • Maintaining the Music Library with stock and lending records.• Supporting with relevant projects with associated school music divisions. • Marketing Music Department events; producing marketing and publicity materials, and disseminating across social media and elsewhere.• Assisting with the dissemination of tickets for external events and email communications with briefings. • Supporting with events as stage management or front of house.• Assisting staff with coordination of outings to concerts and attending with the cohort where needed.

Requirements:

• Willing to attend music concerts outside normal office hours. • Excellent organisational and communication skills.• Ability to work well within a team.
