Job Title: Nursery Room Leader (Toddler Room & Baby Room)

Location: London

Salary: £27,000+ per annum (dependent on experience and qualifications)

Hours: 40 hours per week, shifts varying between 7:30 AM - 6:00 PM

About Us: We are a warm and nurturing nursery dedicated to providing outstanding care and education for young children. Our passionate team works together to create a safe, engaging, and stimulating environment that supports children's early development. We are currently looking for two enthusiastic and experienced Room Leaders to join our team-one for our Toddler Room and one for our Baby Room.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the daily operations of either the Toddler Room or Baby Room, ensuring a safe, happy, and stimulating environment for children.

  • Plan and implement age-appropriate activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).

  • Support and mentor nursery practitioners within your room, fostering a collaborative and high-quality team.

  • Build strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues, ensuring excellent communication and partnership.

  • Monitor and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records and supporting their individual development.

  • Ensure all safeguarding and health & safety policies are adhered to at all times.

  • Work collaboratively with the wider nursery team to deliver high standards of childcare.

Requirements:

  • A minimum Level 3 qualification in Childcare (or equivalent).

  • Proven experience working in a nursery setting, with leadership or senior practitioner experience preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of EYFS, safeguarding, and child development.

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

  • Passionate about providing high-quality early years education.

  • Ability to work flexible shifts between 7:30 AM - 6:00 PM.
