Principal Designer required to join anindependent construction and property consultancy that delivers Cost Management, Project Management and Specialist Consultancy services.

As a Principal Designer under CDM regulations, the role will enable you to deliver both PD and CDM services on projects with values ranging from £500k to £500m+, across a broad spectrum of construction and/or civils/infrastructure sectors.
The role offers hybrid working with a connection to the London office.
Role
Ensure projects comply with CDM 2015.
Develop risk responses and plans to eliminate the risks on projects.
Co-ordinate and attend meetings as required throughout projects.
Near miss and accident investigation where required.
Review Construction Phase Plans.
Prepare and produce Pre-Construction Information.
Undertake site safety inspections as Client CDM Advisor.
Involvement in business development, fee proposals and building client relationships.
Generate new business opportunities, including securing new contracts or projects.
Ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a project team.
Keep up to date with new legislation and maintain a working knowledge of all Health and Safety legislation.
Support the next generation of leaders.
Qualifications
Degree qualified in a design or construction management related role is essential.
Previous experience in a construction related role, e.g. engineer, architect is essential.
Proficient in using standard Microsoft Office applications and experienced with BIM would be beneficial.
Other vocational and related qualifications are beneficial.
CMaPS status is preferred.Â

c5-10 years’ experience in delivering Principal Designer and Client CDM Advisor services in compliance with the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015Â
Experience in leading projects of varying sizes and complexity.Â
Experience working in a client focused environment.Â
