We are looking to onboard an experienced consultant for a global bank on a contract basis, for work relating to SS1/22 (Trading Book Wind Down).
The purpose of this role will be to produce a structured complex document for Trading Book Wind Down (TWD) for the bank, comprising 50+ points.
The document relates to SS1/22, the PRAs Supervisory Statement which sets out expectations for firms with trading activities and which will be effective from March 2025.
This is an immediate requirement, expected to run to c.Feb 2025. The banks offices are in central London however this role can be primarily remote (with occasional days in office for meetings) so we can be flexible on location within the UK.
Backround and Role
The PRA expects firms to have a set of capabilities that will allow them to execute a full or partial wind down of their trading activities in an orderly fashion and SS1/22 is to do with enhancing a firms ability to recover from stress and minimising any adverse effects on financial stability from firm failure.
The bank have a solution that has been built and put in place and an experienced consultant is now required who can compile and collate all of the information and documentation correctly and put it into a master key document. This document will serve as an explanation of how the architectural map all fits together, essentially a supercharged master table of contents.
The document will demonstrate in a clear, concise way whats been built and how the banks solution is fit for purpose and satisfies the regulatory criteria for the winding down ot the trading book.
The document will be for internal use and will go the risk committee but will also be available to the regulator (PRA).
Key Requirements
- High calibre consultant with solid track record of writing complex business documents/requirements, ideally in a similar regulatory driven context
- Ideally an understanding of Trading Book Wind Down, SS1/22 and what the regulators require
- Excellent written and documentation skills
- Strong stakeholder skills and ability to gather and collate information
- Large-scale banking experience
