We are seeking a skilled Autism Assessor to join a dedicated team in a fully remote capacity. In this role, you will conduct diagnostic assessments for children referred for Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and/or Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) through NHS Patient Choice and GP referrals. You will produce detailed, evidence-based reports with actionable recommendations tailored to each child’s needs.

This role also offers the opportunity to supervise junior staff members, based on your experience and interest.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Conducting thorough diagnostic assessments using evidence-based tools such as ADOS-2 and ADI-R.
  • Utilising your knowledge of DSM-5 and other relevant diagnostic frameworks.
  • Preparing detailed, high-quality reports that include diagnostic conclusions and tailored recommendations for intervention and support.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and liaise with families to ensure a holistic approach to care.
  • Staying updated on best practices in neurodevelopmental assessments, particularly for Autism and ADHD.
  • Providing supervision and guidance to junior team members, where applicable.

Requirements:

  • Active HCPC, NMC, or GMC registration.
  • Certification in ADOS-2 and/or ADI-R.
  • Proficiency in the use of DSM-5 and other diagnostic tools relevant to Autism and ADHD.
  • Experience conducting neurodevelopmental assessments, with a focus on Autism and/or ADHD.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to prepare comprehensive reports.
