Role: Student Admissions/Administration Officer
Pay:£115-£130 per day
Location:East London- Tower Hamlets
Type:ASAPÂ Contract role for 2 months, with the possibility of the role becoming permanent
Work hours:Full time 8am till 4pm Monday-Friday
Admissions Officer - Core PurposeThe Admissions Officer handles everything related to admitting students into the school. This includes guiding families through the admissions process, from their first contact and application all the way until the student starts at the school. The role also includes serving as the school’s Data Protection Officer.
Admissions Officer - General Duties
- Make sure student enrolment follows the school’s recruitment policies
- Take care of the admissions process from start to finish using our SIMS system
- Organizing school tours and visits.
- Communicating with parents about admission inquiries and placement status.
- Coordinating application and placement testing for potential students.
- Keep an accurate record of parent and student details, and ensure all new student info is uploaded to the admissions platform.
- Â Keep admission-related documents up-to-date and accessible.
- Manage the admissions voicemail and email, responding to inquiries when possible.
- Review admissions data and suggest improvements.
- Support other admissions-related projects as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
- Help with admissions for students with SEND, making sure their needs are considered as per the school’s admissions policy
- Make sure all student files are properly received and stored.
- Set up transition timetables for new students in collaboration with the Senior Leadership Team.
Data Protection Officer - General Duties
• Ensure the school follows GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) when handling data.• Monitor data processing and advise on best practices for data protection.• Act as the main contact for data subjects and supervisory authorities, handling any data privacy concerns or Subject Access Requests.
RequirementsExperience and Skills:
• Great communication skills, detail-oriented, customer-focused, and responsible.• 2-5 years of work experience, ideally in education (but not a must).• Admissions experience within an education setting is highly desirable, and you must have experience with the SIMS operating system• Ability to work independently and make decisions.• Comfortable collaborating with the Senior Leadership Team.• Organized and proactive, able to bring fresh ideas to the role.• Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with other relevant software.
