Are you an organized and detail-oriented individual with a passion for supporting school staff and operations? Join our team as an HR Assistant at a prestigious school in East London and help create a positive and efficient school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the Single Central Record (SCR) in compliance with safeguarding regulations.
  • Oversee recruitment processes, including document verification, reference checks, and issuing paperwork.
  • Provide administrative support, such as managing diaries and taking meeting minutes.
  • Submit payroll-related documents, including absence reports, overtime, and expenses.
  • Update and manage the training matrix, ensuring staff receive appropriate training.
  • Handle daily communications, including emails and phone calls.
  • Greet visitors and issue correct lanyards.

Key Requirements:

  • previous experience in HR or administration, ideally in a school setting, with knowledge of HR processes and policies.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records, manage sensitive information, and ensure compliance with safeguarding and recruitment regulations.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with staff, parents, and external partners.
  • Skilled in managing tasks such as recruitment, payroll support, and training coordination.
  • Valid DBS check (or willingness to obtain) and right to work in the UK.
