This fast-paced role offers a broad remit and the opportunity to be the welcoming face for parents, pupils, and staff. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the reception area, handling correspondence, and ensuring the smooth operation of school logistics.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Monitor visitors and ensure all visitors are signed in and out appropriately.
- Handle correspondence, including emails, letters, and phone calls, ensuring responses are timely and professional.
- Control and manage the inflow and outflow of people into the school.
- Ensure all visiting staff are provided with visitors lanyards and signed in and out appropriately.
- Maintain a tidy and welcoming front office and reception area.
- Coordinate logistics, bookings, and orders for venues, catering, guest lists, stationery, and other educational supplies.
- Receive deliveries and ensure they are distributed to the correct staff.
- Assist children from the morning bus.
- Carry out any further ad hoc duties as required by the Head’s PAs and the Heads.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a front of house or reception role, preferably in an educational setting.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently and effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Friendly and professional demeanour.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
