Scrum Master - Inside IR35

Brand new opportunity for a Scrum Master with a background in insurance or financial services to join a Global Insurance company on a 6 month contract starting in January 2025.

Location: 2 days a week in London (EC3)

Key Responsibilities

  • Understands the importance of strong relationships and establishing trust within the team and with stakeholders.
  • Works with the Delivery lead, Business and Product Owner to understand the vision and help create an appropriate roadmap to deliver the outcomes of the programme of work. Break the initiatives and Epics into small changes within the regular cycles of delivery that lead to demonstrable improvement for the customers and improve the predictability of delivery.
  • Ensures team is clear on the vision or "why" for the change. Is aware of stakeholders for/against change.
  • Works across impacted teams to ensure the relevant stakeholders are aligned with the vision, delivery and progress of delivery.
  • Seeks to understand the current mindset and practices and how that aligns or deviates from the desired change.
  • Facilitation of the agile ceremonies.
  • Support the team in the creation of documentation and Epics.

Skills & Experience

Essential:

  • Experience of working with delivery teams aligned to agile ways of working and creation of business value through business and technical change initiatives; ability to galvanise and drive the team through each sprint to achieve agreed outcomes and value.
  • Experience of using Jira and Confluence to support Agile ways of working.
  • Experience in GRC (Governance, Risk, and Compliance) programmes
  • Strong teamwork, co-ordination, organisation and planning skills.
  • Strong problem solver with ability to work with a team to maximise progress, potential and overall effectiveness.

Desirable

  • Experience running scrum teams centred around SAAS applications
  • Exposure to OpenPages & its feature set
