ROLE PURPOSE

Our Clients are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEMH Teacher to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality education and support to students with SEMH needs, helping them achieve their full potential.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons tailored to the needs of students with SEMH.
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students, setting realistic and challenging goals.
  • Foster a positive, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Work collaboratively with support staff, therapists, and other professionals to provide holistic support for students.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback and reports to parents and guardians.
  • Implement effective classroom management strategies to promote a safe and productive learning environment.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and training to stay current with best practices in SEMH education.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Proven experience working with students with SEMH needs, either in a mainstream or special educational setting.
  • Strong understanding of the challenges and barriers faced by students with SEMH and strategies to support their development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
  • A proactive, flexible, and resilient approach to teaching.
