ROLE PURPOSE

Our Clients are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEMH Teacher to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality education and support to students with SEMH needs, helping them achieve their full potential.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons tailored to the needs of students with SEMH.
Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students, setting realistic and challenging goals.
Foster a positive, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment.
Work collaboratively with support staff, therapists, and other professionals to provide holistic support for students.
Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback and reports to parents and guardians.
Implement effective classroom management strategies to promote a safe and productive learning environment.
Participate in ongoing professional development and training to stay current with best practices in SEMH education.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
Proven experience working with students with SEMH needs, either in a mainstream or special educational setting.
Strong understanding of the challenges and barriers faced by students with SEMH and strategies to support their development.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
A proactive, flexible, and resilient approach to teaching.
