.An amazing opportunity has arisen for an experienced multi-product Senior Garment Technologist for a Womenswear Brand. As the Garment Technician for in-house production, you will own the process from development through to delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all aspects of garment quality assurance and fit, from 1st fit to final delivery to stores

  • Attend fit meetings with buyers, designers, and pattern cutters

  • Measuring, documenting, and assessing samples from first fit to production

  • Checking the construction and quality of the garments and advising on options and solutions for quality assurance

  • Keeping production critical path up to date, ensuring samples are fitted and comments sent out in time

  • Writing notes, preparing comments, grading specs and updating workbooks, sending to the Pattern Cutter, suppliers and factories on daily basis

  • Check production samples following up on Acceptance Quality Level reports

  • Manage and support on testing and safety standards ensuring all products meet minimum requirements

  • Arranging for product testing to be carried out when needed

  • Interpreting test reports and issuing wash care label information

  • Discussing with QC / team members / suppliers to see how best to resolve any quality issues found

Requirements

  • Minimum 6 years recent experience working for a high street supplier

  • A clear understanding of the supply chain and working to critical path.

  • Knowledge of garment construction, fit, quality assurance, wash/care instructions and an understanding of patterns.

  • Experience in multi womenswear product (Knit, Jersey and Woven), in casual, outerwear, and soft tailoring.

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Proficient in all Microsoft Packages particular Excel

  • Knowledge in test reports, what tests are required for which type of product
