A rapidly expanding MEP Building services contractor are recruiting a Senior M&E Quantity Surveyor for their Central London office & projects.

Having been an established building service contractor in London for the past 30 years, my client has successfully delivered cutting edge design & build projects in the major commercial office, critical services, mixed-use & hotel & leisure sectors for tier one main contractors with project values ranging from £5 million to £30 million MEP value, focusing on a providing an engineering led delivery, taking pride in producing some of the quality driven installations in London having recently been awarded by the principle contractor on 4 sites completed since 2020.

With this great reputation built over the past 4 years, my client is looking to build on this success and bring a career motivated individual into their commercial team to play an integral role in the future of my client's business.

This role offers the opportunity to manage a small team of M&E Quantity Surveyors in the coming year once settled into the business as personal progression and growth is something my client takes great pride in as a business can't grow without their team members growing also.

Responsibilities

  • Liaise with the Contracts Managers in the procurement of Sub-Contractor packages and the preparation of the Sub-Contract documents.
  • To be located between site and the head offices in London.
  • Project experience from upwards of £5 million MEP.
  • To be able to travel between London sites and the Central Head office.
  • Previous experience taking a project from conception through to handover.
  • Supporting the monitoring of the progress of the Works.
  • The preparation and submission of contractual notices and / or correspondence to both the Client and Sub-Contractors.
  • The preparation, submission and agreement of Interim Applications and Final Accounts.
  • Preparation of cash flows, monthly cost reports and analysis of budgets.
  • Attend monthly commercial meetings to provide update on any ongoing contract specific negotiations and overall job performance.
  • Compile monthly progress reports for both the Contracts team & Commercial Manager.
  • preparing material and subcontractor procurement, valuation of works and financial reporting.
  • Liaising, negotiating, and relationship building with clients and consultants on an on-going basis.
  • Be responsible for securing the successful financial delivery of projects by controlling costs, progressing monthly valuations, and managing variations and change orders.
  • Liaising with contracts, estimating and pre-construction teams to obtain full understanding of each project scope.
