Senior-Principal Building Physics Engineer

Are you passionate about shaping the future of sustainable building design? A global multi-disciplinary is seeking a Senior-Principal Building Physics Engineer to drive low-carbon, high-performance building solutions. This role offers the opportunity to work on high-profile projects across commercial, residential, healthcare, MoD, education, and mixed-use developments, leading a team dedicated to innovation and Net Zero Carbon strategies.

Key Responsibilities:
* Act as Net Zero Carbon Lead or Sustainability Lead on major projects.
* Undertake dynamic thermal modelling (IES-VE, TM52, TM54, TM59, Part L assessments, natural ventilation studies).
* Provide technical input for BREEAM, LEED, NABERS and low-carbon technology feasibility studies.
* Prepare Energy & Sustainability Statements for planning applications and regulatory compliance.
* Provide client-facing consultancy services, leading DTMs and client review meetings.
* Support teams delivering Whole Life Carbon and Embodied Carbon analysis.
* Contribute to business development, client engagement, and project proposals.
* Mentor and develop junior engineers within the team.

About You:
* Degree in Engineering, Sustainability, or Environmental Science.
* Chartered Engineer, Scientist, or Environmentalist (or working towards chartership).
* Strong experience in Building Physics, Passive Design, and Low-Carbon Technologies.
* Proficiency in IES-VE, Grasshopper/Ladybug, or similar modelling software.
* Knowledge of BREEAM, NABERS, and UK sustainability legislation.
* Ability to manage projects, engage with clients, and drive high-impact sustainability solutions.
