COMPANY OVERVIEW  This firm is a top player in music investment and song management, specialising in the acquisition and oversight of music catalogues. The company is dedicated to optimising revenue, boosting song consumption, and supporting songwriters. It focuses on preserving the legacy of iconic songs while providing creative and effective solutions to its clients.  ROLE OVERVIEW   The Revenue Assurance Manager will be responsible for some of the core functions of the revenue assurance team and associated internal reporting requirements. As a key member of the revenue assurance team, the Revenue Assurance Manager will report to the Director Revenue Assurance and work closely with the data, rights administration and investment teams.  KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Rights Management:
  • Responsibility for masters/producer rights across ingestion, reconciliation and reporting.
  • Enhancement of core data and income tracking capability within above rights type.
  • Review of inbound statements for accuracy and completeness, including follow-up with third
  • parties where necessary.
  • Preparation of management reports to provide deeper insight into catalogue performance
  • and the contextualisation of industry wide changes across rights types.
  • Maintaining a detailed understanding of rights ownership in respect of catalogue
  • acquisitions and the underlying contractual terms.
  Audit:
  • Identification of external audit opportunities based on data-focused analysis of catalogue
  • reporting.
  • Management of internal desktop audit process to highlight reporting irregularities suitable
  • for further review.
  • Liaison and engagement with external auditors where necessary.
  • Independent Valuation:
  • Supporting the company’s third-party valuation workstreams to include provision of relevant
  • data, communication of administrative reporting changes and review of output
  • Other:
  • Review of pipeline acquisition data where necessary.
  • Onboarding of new acquisitions across existing catalogue systems and processes where
  • required.
  • Preparation of contingent liability reporting due under acquisition agreements where
  • required.
  SKILLS, PERSONAL QUALITIES, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE   
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Word, SharePoint & Outlook).
  • Experience with AirTable or equivalent data organisation application.
  • Organisation required to manage large volumes of files and data.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical focus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in the music industry.
  • Exposure and understanding across a wide variety of third-party royalty statements, inclusive of masters and producer rights.
