Job Title: SOx Framework Project Lead

An exciting opportunity exists within our client, a fast growing FMCG, for a SOx Consultant to support the journey in implementing a full SOx framework and become SOx Compliance Lead.

This is a key role and will require previous industry experience, strong communication and stakeholder management skills. This role would be to start ASAP and is initially for a period of 9 months.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities for this SOx Framework Project Lead role will include but are not limited to:

  • Implement the full Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) compliance framework across the whole business, adapting from current SOX-lite framework.
  • Working with shareholder compliance and controls teams on framework best practice, compiling training materials and tools and managing timings of roll-out.
  • Working with internal technology teams to automate and systemise controls.
  • Steer the updating of processes documentation and narratives as required from framework.
  • Provide training to broader business on Risk & Control Matrix requirements, roles and responsibilities.
  • Work with teams across business on process and organisational change to ensure compliance requirements are captured.
  • Support the Group Compliance Manager on business support and ongoing control adherence and improvement.
  • Partnering with the business to improve culture of controls, increase effectiveness and land change to embed and improve compliance framework.

Skills

The skills and experience required for this SOx Framework Project Lead role include but are not limited to:

  • Previous experience implementing a SOX compliance framework, and solid compliance knowledge.
  • Previous experience developing a compliance framework within retail, manufacturing or FMCG industies.
  • Strong project management skills being able to finish what they begin and deliver on time.
  • A great communicator with a technical mindset but can communicate the message simply to a range of audiences including the shareholder.
  • A keen eye for detail, with a questioning mindset who can get out identify and shore up processes.
  • A structured approach to workload, who can tackle multiple streams of work and improvements in a sensible and timely way and distribute the work sensibly around the team to drive proactive management of this area.
  • Someone who is happy to get hands-on with tools and the systems to understand how they can make processes simpler, compliance integrated and reporting easier.
