Staffing Officer - Temporary Contract

£18.72 per hour

3 month contract

A leading education institute are hiring a Staffing Officer to join their team on a 3 Month contract.

Role:

This opportunity will assist with HR & Staffing services to all members of staff within the Mechanical Engineering Division. This will include supporting the Operations Manager with the Research & Finance team for grant support.

  • Provide advice to line managers and staff on HR policies and procedures within the organisation
  • Liaise with the HR team to build strong relationships
  • Ensure line managers are informed on all staff completing probation
  • Draft issues letters of notice for staff of fixed term contracts
  • Liaise with the learning and development teams for any ongoing training that is needed
  • Ensure all staff records are correct and up to date
  • Undertake pre-employment checks
  • Plan and support with staff inductions
  • Lead in preparation of advertising all internal jobs
  • Supporting recruitment managers with the hiring process
  • Assist with annual leave queries
  • Provide guidance to staff around visa requirements
  • Ensure all leavers forms are dealt with correctly
  • Ad-hoc HR duties
