Join an an 'Outstandingā€™ rated institution by Ofsted, as a Technician Coach within their Health team. We are seeking a dedicated individual who is passionate about supporting both staff and learners in achieving excellence in vocational education.

Day-to-day of the role if a Technician of Health and Science:

  • Oversee the health and safety of the specialist ward and laboratory environments.
  • Manage inventory, stock control, and the distribution of classroom materials to support teaching staff.
  • Support small groups of learners with practical skills to enhance their progress and vocational experience.
  • Lead and manage stock and relevant areas, ensuring resources are utilised effectively to support educational outcomes.
  • Collaborate with the department to support learnersā€™ progress and practical skills, contributing to their wider participation and achievement in various vocational courses.

Required Skills & Qualifications required for the role:

  • Proven experience in supporting staff and students in an industry or science environment, ideally within a Further Education setting.
  • Relevant curriculum specialism related to health or science.
  • Strong organisational and leadership skills to manage laboratory and ward areas effectively.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teaching staff and students to enhance learning experiences.
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of health and safety.
