About the Role:

Do you have experience working with fashion, materials or hold a degree in an arts field (e.g. Art or Textiles)?

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Textiles Technician to join a vibrant secondary school in Hillingdon. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a school environment, working closely within the secondary school, supporting the DT and Art department.

There are great transport links to the school and there is parking nearby.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist practical lessons (KS3 and KS4), which enhance students' experience of Art
  • Provide guidance to teaching colleagues
  • Support all departments within the Art, Design and Technology faculty
  • Promote health and safety within the department

The ideal candidate will:

  • Hold a relevant qualification (e.g. Art, Fashion, Textiles degree) or have experience working with textiles and sewing machines
  • Have a genuine passion and believe in the potential of every pupil
  • Be committed and reliable with excellent communication skills
  • Experience previously working with children would be beneficial but is not essential
