Trainer (Optical Industry)
Location: Midlands and South EastOur client is currently seeking an Education and Professional Services Trainer to join their team on a permeant full time basis. The Education and Professional Services Trainer will plan and deliver product, sales and retail training activities. To maintain and develop sales of products and services to its customers, in accordance with agreed Budgets, KPI’s, business plans, terms and promotions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Train and communicate on products and services at optical stores.
- Support business development and training projects with key accounts to boost conversion and product mix.
- Develop training ideas and content, including CPD, technical training, and retail optimization, with marketing team support.
- Assist the Head of EPS with projects and content creation, including e-learning and presentations.
- Provide customer training, technical support, and respond to training enquiries via phone and field visits.
- Organize and support at optical training events, experience days, and digital learning initiatives like webinars.
Skills and experience:
- F.B.D.O - Diploma/Degree in Ophthalmic Dispensing.
- Significant experience in the optical industry with in-depth knowledge of ophthalmic lenses.
- Strong presentation, organizational, and document preparation skills.
- Ability to build effective relationships with customers, colleagues, and departments.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, Office 365, and SharePoint.
- Strong commitment to deadlines, budgets, and understanding basic business finance.
