Treaty Technician

Your new companyYour new job working as a Treaty Technician will be working for a Lloyd's Broker who have been established for over 50 years. Your new Brokers have offices in over 100 countries and currently collaborate as a powerful international team comprised of 18,000 employees. Due to growth within the Treaty team a permanent job for a Treaty Technician has arisen in their Milton Keynes or London office with the option of remote/ hybrid working.

Your new roleYour new role working as a Treaty Technician means you will be supporting the administration of proportional Treaty & Reinsurance contracts for an expanding client base. You will act as a key point of contact for London-based broking teams, ensure smooth processes and accurate handling of technical reinsurance accounting and develop the technical knowledge of others within the team. Duties will include validating account submissions and cash loss transactions in line with contract terms, preparing profit commission statements, portfolio transfers, and sliding scale calculations and ensuring accurate data entry and credit control processes while resolving outstanding queries. Further duties will also include maintaining up-to-date records across company systems and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements as well as acting as a key escalation point for internal teams and clients, ensuring excellent service delivery.

What you'll need to succeedYour previous experience working in a similar position as a Treaty Technician will contribute to your success in securing this role. You will have extensive technical accounting experience within the London Market reinsurance sector, have a strong understanding of Lloyd's and London Market processes and systems and experience auditing and reviewing the work of others. You will also demonstrate technical expertise in proportional treaty accounting, work efficiently under pressure, meet deadlines while maintaining high-quality, strong communication skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships. You will be highly organised, have strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, competent IT skills and showing progression towards professional qualifications is preferred.
