The ideal Underwriting Team Leader will:
- Manage a team of 5-10, overseeing underwriting applications for key European regions.
- Set clear team goals, monitor performance, and ensure effective day-to-day operations.
- Provide training, coaching, and motivation to team members while maintaining quality control.
- Liaise with stakeholders, including auditors, and assist with credit decisions on large exposures.
- Contribute to process improvements and participate in hiring and training new employees.
Profile
The succesful Underwriting Team Leader must be:
- A motivated team leader with at least 1-2 years of experience in a leadership role.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage performance and resolve conflicts.
- Experience in underwriting, KYC, or payments is desirable but not essential.
