About the Role:
Hunter AHP is excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Locum Women’s and Children’s Pharmacist to join a leading NHS hospital in Central London. This is an ongoing full-time contract, requiring 5 days per week, and offers a competitive hourly rate. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in women’s and children’s pharmacy to support the delivery of expert pharmaceutical care within this specialism.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical pharmacy services to women’s and children’s wards, including neonatal, paediatric, and obstetrics/gynecology areas.
- Offer expert advice on medication therapy, including dosing, drug interactions, and side effect management for women and children.
- Conduct clinical ward rounds and medication reviews, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to optimise patient care.
- Ensure the safe and effective use of medicines for paediatric and obstetric patients, with a focus on high-quality patient outcomes.
- Review prescriptions and contribute to the development of care plans for both inpatient and outpatient services.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in women’s and children’s pharmacy within an NHS setting is essential.
- GPhC registration.
- Strong clinical knowledge in paediatrics, neonatology, and women’s health pharmacology.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with healthcare professionals and patients.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Full-time availability (5 days per week) for an ongoing contract.
