Senior Bentley CAD/BIM Technician
Requirements for experienced Bentley CAD Technician:
Responsibilities:
- Independently create detailed and accurate structural 3D models and cuts for drawing production.
- Preparing 2D drawings for engineering review from sectional cuts of 3D models and engineering markups.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate structural models with architectural and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) models. Conduct clash detection and resolve conflicts within model.
- Perform regular quality checks on models to ensure accuracy and compliance with project requirements.
- Maintain model integrity and update models as necessary throughout the project lifecycle.
- Agree CAD deliverables lists and process models and drawings through ProjectWise (or similar) approvals process.
- Liaison and collaboration of work assignments with colleagues located in other centres and time zones such as India.
- Ability to lead and develop junior CAD technicians.
- Ensure models comply with BIM Execution Plans including implementation and adherence to company-specific BIM protocols and procedures.
Experience:
- At least 10 years CAD/BIM experience, with minimum 5 years Microstation/Aecosim/OpenBuildings Designer.
- Extensive experience of complex 3d modelling.
- Experience with Bentley ProjectWise and Workflows.
- Solid Structural background ideally with Metro/Rail experience.
- Understanding of buildability and good knowledge of RC.
- Hardworking and self-motivated.
- Team Player - there will be junior members of the teams that need guidance.
- Knowledge of BIM standards and latest practices.
