Overview of Assistant Network Planning Officer:
Pertemps has an exciting opportunity within London Borough of Harrow for a self-driven and motivated Assistant Network Planning Officer to join an expanding team. The role of Assistant Network Planning Officer has a competitive pay rate of 27 - 30 per hour PAYE. Other benefits include excellent training and support for career development and 21 days holiday (excluding Bank Holidays).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure compliance with the New Roads and Street Works Act 1991, the Traffic Management Act 2004, and the London Permit Scheme.
  • Supervise daily operations, allocate tasks, and maintain high performance and customer service.
  • Support the Team Leader and Head of Service in public meetings and provide technical information.
  • Guide and coach Network Compliance Officers and Technicians.

The ideal candidate should have:
  • Prior experience in a local authority setting.
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of technical and professional standard codes of practice, and regulations, particularly those related to the Traffic Management Act 2004 and the New Roads and Street Works Act 1991.
  • Familiarity with health and safety/welfare legislation and approved codes of conduct.
  • Extensive working knowledge of the London Permit Scheme.
  • Thorough understanding of both Local and National Street Gazetteers.
  • Strong grasp of traffic management requirements and the organization of highway events and activities.
