The Role
As Assistant Headteacher – Teaching and Learning, you will be a key member of the Senior Leadership Team and play a central role in developing and embedding outstanding practice across the school. You will lead on whole-school teaching and learning strategy, oversee pedagogical innovation, and support staff development through evidence-informed CPD.
Your leadership will directly impact classroom standards, staff performance and ultimately, student outcomes. This is a unique opportunity to work in a high-performing school that values professional autonomy, innovation and reflective practice.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the strategic direction of teaching and learning across the school
Develop and implement a robust, evidence-informed CPD programme
Drive consistency and excellence in classroom delivery and curriculum planning
Work closely with middle leaders to support subject-specific pedagogy Monitor and evaluate the impact of teaching strategies through data, observation and outcomes
Champion inclusive, high-impact teaching practices that meet the needs of all learners
Contribute to whole-school self-evaluation, improvement planning and staff development.
