Examinations - Quality Assurance Manager.
The Examinations - Quality Assurance Manager pays £20.87 per hour. Equivalent to £38 000. It is full-time, 35 hours per week. The role can be fully remote of hybrid. The London office is based in the West-End.
Working at one of the UK’s largest and most important Membership bodies. This role is key to upholding the Institute’s reputation and maintaining accreditation. By ensuring examinations and assessments are fair, valid, reliable and legally defensible.
A background in Education, with strong exposure to the regulation of exams and assessments would be a bonus.
This role is a temporary post, which may become permanent.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and manage a comprehensive quality assurance framework.
- Develop and review QA policies and procedures.
- Ensure exam accessibility and compliance.
- Provide data-driven reports to enhance assessment performance.
- Lead projects to improve assessment quality and strategy.
- Introduce training programmes for examiners and assessors.
- Establish an annual review process to update policies and procedures.
- Manage MCQ question banks, ensuring validity and fairness.
- Maintain a results monitoring log and oversee quality assurance checks.
Knowledge & Experience
- Knowledge in psychometrics (assessment fairness, validity, reliability).
- Experience in policy development (accessibility, appeals, malpractice, etc.).
- Strong understanding of assessment delivery platforms & accreditation standards.
- Exposure to designing and delivering diverse assessments (MCQs, essays, portfolios, interviews).
- Familiarity with standardisation, moderation and electronic exam systems.
- Data management and CRM experience.
Skills
- Strong organisational, planning, and research abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and spreadsheet manipulation.
- Excellent report writing and problem-solving skills.
- Adaptable leadership and ability to drive continuous improvements.
