We're currently searching for a experienced Head of Education Technology & Innovation for a global education business. The Head of Education Technology & Innovation provides strategic technology leadership in defining the education technology landscape, guiding its effective implementation, and ensuring robust governance.

This role will work closely with stakeholders across the group to align technology decisions with both global strategies and local needs, fostering a unified and integrated approach to EdTech. (MIS, LMS, and parent portals etc)

Role responsibilities - Head of Education Technology & Innovation

  • Defining and executing a unified EdTech strategy, addressing group-wide priorities for technology simplification and rationalisation, while accommodating local needs
  • Establishing governance to ensure the standardisation, compliance, and effective management of EdTech platforms and tools
  • Driving innovation in EdTech, leveraging emerging technologies like AI and VR to deliver measurable benefits across the organisation
  • Conduct a comprehensive review of the current EdTech landscape, identifying opportunities to streamline and optimise technology usage across the group
  • Develop and implement a scalable, future-focused education technology vision and strategy that aligns with global objectives while addressing local requirements.
  • Develop and lead a group-wide innovation agenda, exploring and piloting emerging technologies such as AI and VR
  • Implement pilot programs to test and validate innovative technologies, scaling successful projects across the group
  • Establish KPIs and frameworks to measure the success and ROI of innovation initiatives
  • Act as a thought leader, promoting technology best practices and positioning the group as a leader in K-12 education innovation
  • To comply with safeguarding policies, procedures and code of conduct
  • To demonstrate a personal commitment to safeguarding and student/colleague wellbeing

Person Spec - Head of Education Technology & Innovation

  • A visionary leader with a compelling ability to articulate and deliver a cohesive Ed Tech strategy
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills, capable of aligning global objectives with local needs and securing buy-in across diverse regions
  • Proven experience in defining and implementing technology strategies at scale within education or similar industries.
  • Extensive experience working in a global or multinational organisation, with an understanding of the complexities of diverse cultural and regional contexts
  • Strong experience in technology leadership, with a proven track record of driving strategy, governance, and innovation at scale
  • Passionate about technology and education, with a strong commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Adaptable and collaborative, with a talent for navigating complex, multicultural organisations.

This a a hybrid working role with 2-3 days in the office required.
