Head of Physical Education - Outstanding School, Ealing

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and experienced Head of Physical Education at an Outstanding secondary school in Ealing, starting September 2025. This is a full-time, permanent role, offering a competitive salary in line with the Inner London pay scale.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the Physical Education department, setting high standards for teaching, learning, and student achievement across all key stages.
  • Design and implement a dynamic, engaging PE curriculum that promotes physical fitness, well-being, and teamwork.
  • Inspire and motivate students to develop a love for physical activity while encouraging lifelong healthy habits.
  • Provide strategic direction for the department, ensuring continuous improvement in the quality of teaching and student outcomes.
  • Mentor and support PE staff, fostering a collaborative team environment and promoting professional development.
  • Organise and oversee extracurricular activities and sports events, creating opportunities for students to excel outside of the classroom.
