Role Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Physical Education department, setting high standards for teaching, learning, and student achievement across all key stages.
- Design and implement a dynamic, engaging PE curriculum that promotes physical fitness, well-being, and teamwork.
- Inspire and motivate students to develop a love for physical activity while encouraging lifelong healthy habits.
- Provide strategic direction for the department, ensuring continuous improvement in the quality of teaching and student outcomes.
- Mentor and support PE staff, fostering a collaborative team environment and promoting professional development.
- Organise and oversee extracurricular activities and sports events, creating opportunities for students to excel outside of the classroom.
- Promote inclusivity within PE, ensuring all students, regardless of ability, are engaged and challenged.
- Ensure that the department contributes positively to the wider ethos of the school, encouraging students to reach their full potential both academically and personally.

Qualifications and Person Specification:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

- Proven leadership experience within a Physical Education department or teaching leadership role

- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
- Ability to inspire and motivate both students and staff
