The Role:
As Headteacher, you will be responsible for the strategic leadership and management of the school, ensuring high standards of teaching, learning, and pupil achievement. You will work closely with staff, governors, parents, and the wider community to drive the school forward, maintaining its reputation for excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide visionary leadership and clear strategic direction for the school.
Maintain and enhance a culture of high expectations for both staff and pupils.
Ensure outstanding teaching and learning through effective curriculum development and assessment practices.
Promote the welfare and safeguarding of all pupils, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
Lead, inspire, and develop a highly motivated team of staff, fostering a positive working culture.
Manage the school's budget and resources effectively to ensure financial sustainability.
Build strong relationships with parents, carers, and the local community to support the school's ethos and values.
Ensure compliance with national educational policies and maintain the school's high Ofsted rating.
Person Specification:
Essential:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and substantial experience in a leadership role within a primary school setting.
A proven track record of improving educational outcomes and driving school improvement.
Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate staff and pupils.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with all stakeholders.
A commitment to inclusion and diversity, ensuring all pupils thrive regardless of background or ability.
A deep understanding of safeguarding policies and a commitment to pupil welfare.
Desirable:
Experience of working in an urban primary school setting.
NPQH (National Professional Qualification for Headship) or equivalent leadership qualification.
Experience in budget management and resource allocation.
A passion for innovation in education and curriculum development.
