Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced General Manager to oversee the daily operations of our establishment, Cabotte, in the City of London. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in the hospitality industry, particularly within restaurant management. This role requires exceptional leadership skills, a passion for culinary excellence, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and customer service.
About Cabotte
Cabotte Restaurant, founded by two Master Sommeliers with extensive London restaurant experience, promises exquisite French cuisine paired with a unique wine list made up of beautiful classics and interesting rarities from the Burgundy wine region.
Named after the small huts that Burgundy winegrowers have within their vineyards, the feel of the restaurant, which was designed by Rosendale Design, is that of a traditional local bistro in the French countryside. With traditional dishes and modern twists, the seasonal menu and daily specials will showcase the very best ingredients.
Duties
- Lead and manage all aspects of restaurant operations, ensuring a seamless guest experience.
- Supervise and support staff in various roles
- Implement and uphold food safety regulations and standards to ensure compliance.
- Develop and train team members, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages growth and development.
- Monitor inventory levels, ordering supplies as necessary to maintain efficient operations.
- Create and manage staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage during peak hours.
- Address customer concerns promptly and effectively to enhance satisfaction.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to develop innovative menu items that reflect current trends in the hospitality industry.
Experience
- Proven experience in restaurant management or a similar role within the hospitality sector.
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food preparation.
- Demonstrated ability in team management, with experience supervising staff in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with bartending practices is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with guests and team members alike.
- A passion for culinary arts and a commitment to delivering exceptional service.
