Day to day of the role:

• Plan and deliver stimulating Computer Science lessons to secondary or post-16 students, fostering an understanding of computational thinking and digital literacy.
• Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and tailor teaching strategies to support individual learning objectives.
• Create an interactive classroom environment that supports diverse learning styles and promotes student engagement in technology.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and share innovative teaching practices and contribute to the school’s extracurricular programmes, such as coding clubs or tech fairs.
• Engage in continuous professional development to stay abreast of the latest advancements in computer science education.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent is essential.
• Experience in teaching Computer Science is preferred, but newly qualified teachers (NQTs) are also encouraged to apply.
• Demonstrated ability to inspire and challenge students through effective teaching methods and a passion for technology.
• Proficient classroom management skills and the ability to establish a supportive and innovative learning atmosphere.
• A strong passion for Computer Science and a commitment to ongoing professional growth in the field of technology education.
