English Academic Mentor | About the Role:
As an English Academic Mentor, you’ll work closely with students across year groups, providing personalised support to build their confidence and skills in English. Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting 1:1 and small group sessions focused on literacy, comprehension, and exam preparation
- Assisting students with essay writing, critical analysis, and exam techniques
- Collaborating with teachers to foster a positive learning environment
- Monitoring and reporting on student progress to ensure effective intervention
English Academic Mentor | Ideal Candidate:
- Holds a 2:1 or First-Class degree in English or a related field from a top 30 UK university
- Strong communication skills and a passion for English language and literature
- Patient, approachable, and committed to supporting student success
- Prior experience in an educational setting is beneficial but not required
